Applicants for the GTI visa must be internationally recognized and prominent in their field, with a proven track record of outstanding achievements. The GTI visa program also supports PhD graduates and certain PhD students nearing the completion of their thesis, provided they can demonstrate exceptional talent and international recognition within one of the target sectors.
The application process begins with submitting an expression of interest (EOI), including a detailed résumé and a statement outlining the applicant’s internationally recognized achievements, professional prominence, and how they intend to contribute to Australia’s growth. Standard health and character assessments apply. Processing times for the GTI visa typically range from nine to twelve months.
